Sunbelt Rentals UK and Ireland brought together apprentices and teammates for their annual Apprentice Awards celebrating their talent, skills and future capability that will help shape the next chapter of the business.
This year’s Apprenticeship Awards marked a significant evolution of the event, broadening its scope to recognise teammates undertaking apprenticeship programmes at all stages of their careers. Held in a new venue at the Heart of England Conference Centre, the awards brought together apprentices, teammates and leaders from across Sunbelt Rentals to celebrate achievement and professional development. Alongside recognising early career apprentices, the event acknowledged teammates who are using apprenticeships to develop new skills, gain qualifications and progress their careers.
Opening the event, CEO Phil Parker spoke about the power of potential and the importance of investing in future talent. He emphasised that the future of Sunbelt Rentals will be built by people with the skills, ambition and willingness to keep learning, highlighting the role apprenticeships play in creating opportunities for career progression, personal growth and future leadership across the business.
The event showcased a wide range of development journeys across engineering, operations, leadership, professional services and technical disciplines, demonstrating how teammates are continually building new skills and capabilities to meet changing customer needs and industry demands.
Jenny Parry, Head of Talent, outlined how learning and development programmes are supporting teammates to gain qualifications, broaden their expertise and prepare for future opportunities across the organisation.
