News Item: SANY Elevates Job Site Safety with New Cab Designs and EVI Technology
SANY is reinforcing its commitment to operator safety and job site intelligence with the launch of enhanced cab designs and its integrated EVI (Equipment Visibility Intelligence) system across its range of excavators and telehandlers.
These innovations reflect SANY’s ongoing investment in protecting operators, reducing job site risks, and helping customers work smarter, not harder.
Stronger Cabs, Safer Operators
SANY’s new-generation operator cabs are engineered for maximum protection and comfort, offering a safe and secure environment for daily operations in challenging conditions. Over the past year, SANY has redefined operator experience with a next-generation cab across its 13-tonne-and-above excavators, along with major upgrades to their mini and midi range, built directly from operator feedback to maximise comfort, performance and safety.
Key Cab Safety Features Include:
When it comes to SANY’s recently launched range of telehandlers, a load management system monitors the load of the machine to prevent instability and when carrying loads will limit speeds for safety and improved load retention. Also included is a reversing camera with distance sensor, which is automatically activated when the reverse gear is engaged, a safety switch that prevents any vehicle movement when the operator is not seated, as well as hose burst safety check valves fitted on all lift cylinders stopping collapse in the event of a failure or damage. A 360 degree camera with BSD and IDMS is also available as an option.
“SANY has always put safety first, and our latest cab upgrades are a direct response to customer feedback and evolving global safety standards,” said Jon Smith, Product Manager at SANY UK. “Our goal is simple: ensure every operator can work confidently and go home safely.”
Smart Protection for Smarter Operations
In 2024, SANY also introduced EVI, their smart fleet and safety management platform which is now installed as standard across their range of machines, including electric models.
The EVI platform delivers real-time insights and intelligent monitoring tools that help owners protect their investments, reduce risks, and maintain full control over their fleet, no matter where it’s located.
With EVI, SANY owners benefit from advanced location tracking, movement alerts, and work overtime notifications, enabling immediate response to potential threats such as theft, unauthorised use, or unexpected activity. These real-time updates ensure that owners are always informed and can act quickly to mitigate any risks.
Security Meets Simplicity
The EVI system is installed as standard on all new SANY machines and offers 3 and 5-year subscription plans, making it an accessible and powerful tool for businesses of all sizes. Its user-friendly interface allows operators and fleet managers to monitor key metrics, set custom alerts, and access machine health data, all from a single platform.
Key safety and security features include:
SANY’s integration of EVI is part of its broader strategy to deliver smarter, safer, and more connected machines. As job sites become increasingly data-driven, platforms like EVI provide the tools necessary to stay ahead, maximising uptime, minimising loss, and protecting the bottom line.
With the introduction of advanced systems like the EVI telematics platform, along with integrated safety features across its product line, SANY is focused on delivering smart solutions that protect both machine owners and equipment operators on every job site.
