News Item: HAE EHA Announces Change to Governance and New Board

Following the review of the governance arrangements and the recent Extraordinary General Meeting, Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association is pleased to announce its new Board of Directors.

Joining those previously elected are Paul Mabey from JCB, David Fox from Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire, Andrew Thompson from Cleveland Group, and Josh Thompson from GR8 Tool Hire.

Paul Gaze, HAE EHA CEO, said, “We are delighted to announce the new Board. Each member will be given a specific focus to lead on, for example, Josh Thompson will be heading up our Independent Hirers Group. Further details on this new group will be available soon.”

The new governance arrangements will create additional strategic focus for the association and allow a wider range of working groups and committees to address some of the challenges faced by members within the sector. All those elected under the previous governance arrangements will become HAE EHA Committee Members working across the sector with other stakeholders and partners on behalf of members to raise standards and promote the professional nature of the hire and rental sector.

Phil Leahy, HAE EHA Chair, said, “This provides the Association with enhanced focus and member insight to accelerate delivery on those things that matter most to members. The new arrangements will bring together a broader range of member expertise to the benefit of the entire hire sector.”
