Tracey Glew, Managing Director, The Preparation Group Ltd.
Standing for Re-election to HAE EHA Supply Chain Board 2023
Founded The Preparation Group 1991, initially as a specialist contractor, based in Lincolnshire operating nationwide. Having successfully expanded our range of services and geographical presence, in 1997 making the bold move to start manufacturing and in 2006 Opening our Training school, we are market leaders in Surface Preparation, surface removal, polishing, re-furbishing, cleaning and offer maintenance of an infinite range of surfaces. The company has a strong reputation for quality and customer service always ensuring that our large customer base acquire the right cost-effective solutions for their projects.
In 1997 we took the step into manufacturing equipment and have partnered with a number of key hire company's supplying equipment, services, and training to ensure they realise the ROIs on their purchases and how to maximise sales revenue. I am now proud to say we are accredited by Made in Britain for the machines we produce. I bring a wealth of knowledge not only to our specialist industry but when supplying and delivering solutions for an infinite range of industry sectors.
I have tirelessly campaigned for standards in the Specialist Surface Preparation and Polishing Industry, educating and training for a number of Trade associations including CFA, RSMA, Ferfa, ARCA and HAE. We have received awards for the innovations implemented into the design of our equipment making machines and tools easier and simpler to use and clean and safe for the user. We were the first company to introduce QR codes which show how to use, fit accessories and maintain equipment and is provided with all our equipment. This introduction was a key benchmark for Hirers of our equipment and tools and satisfied Health and Safety regulations.
We have been a member of HAE supporting its values and objectives since 2016.
As a supplier to the Hire Industry and also an end user Hire services, I have the knowledge and experience understanding expectations from both sides, which I believe I can add value to being elected member of the HAE EHA Supply Chain Board .I understand the Hire Industry from high level procurement to independent aspirations and what they expect as a member of an association, how the association adds value to their business and their expectations in delivering the latest news, technology, training and support.
The company has been a member of Ferfa "The Resin Flooring Association" since 1999 and I have been a council member, Vice Chairman from 2014 to 2015 and Chairman from 2016 to 2018, currently a Director of the Ferfa Board having a unique insight to Trade Association objectives and membership expectations.
I wrote the NVQ "Prepare and Profile Substrates" and committed time to occupational working CITB groups to achieve approval for the modules and qualification which was piloted in 2009 and I still in use today for their apprentice scheme. As a company since 2010 we have trained and qualified 15 apprentices working in collaboration with Ferfa and CITB.
Any association is dependent on the membership revenue and has an obligation to embrace changes in the industry legislation environmental issues and deliver value solutions to validate their existence.
I believe I can contribute and add value to the HAE Supply Chain Board bringing experience to drive the objectives, ambitions, and aspirations of the HAE forward, to increase membership, collaboration and revenue through professional, proactive leadership, direction and inspiring the next generation of Hire employees and inspirational individuals.
I would like to be able to be part of the future of HAE and contribute to improving industry standards and adding value for members improving communication and understanding of the HAE benefits and what they mean.
