News Item: After 37 Years Bob Williams, UK and Eire Sales Manager Leaves Altrad Belle

After 37 years with the group Bob Williams UK & Eire Sales Manager stopped his "mixing" on behalf of Altrad Belle as he left the company on the 30th June 2020.

Starting his career with Chesterfield based Errut Products in July 1984 as a technical sales representative selling the companies surface preparation and compaction equipment; Bob had a good early grounding into the hire & rental business as he worked for many years under another industry stalwart and his MD at the time Ray Caulfield (Trime). Opportunities within Errut Products saw Bob representing the company across the Middle and Far East before taking on the role of the UK's National Sales Manager. For those of a certain age they will remember Errut Products reputation for the companies in-depth concreting & compaction training courses at its Chesterfield HQ; though rumour has it that the legendary Chesterfield night-life had something to do with why the training courses were so popular; Bob does offer testimony to this as he ran the majority of courses!

Errut Products was acquired by Belle Engineering in 1990 and this led to Bob becoming the groups UK & Eire Sales Manager a position that he has held throughout; and one that brought increased responsibility followings Belle's acquisition by the Altrad Group in 2009.

A staunch supporter of all aspects of the hire industry Bob has been at the forefront of his  groups involvement at every hire industry & customer exhibition, in particular the Executive Hire Show; as well as being instrumental with the groups support of the industries representative body the HAE.

With a hunger & passion for new sales channels which has been ably fueled by Altrad Belle’s R & D ability to continually develop and launch new products; major hirers and the industry in particular have numerous products that Bob & his sales team have successfully launched and promoted.

With what looks like "semi-retirement" being on the horizon it looks like a few more rainbow trout should be getting worried as more fly fishing is definitely on the agenda as is quality time with his family and friends.

Bob comments: "After 37 years; I am extremely grateful for all parts of my journey in a what is a tremendous industry; but I feel that the greatest gift that I have been given is to work for a company and in an industry that has provided me with so much enjoyment and so many great memories".
