News Item: Update on CITB Employer Networks
In July 2022, CITB launched a pilot to trial Employer Networks (EN’s) – an initiative aiming to simplify the way employers get the support and funding needed to access the training they want. During this time CITB funded sector specific and externally managed Employer Networks to help us gather more information to shape the initiative, one of these was a collaboration between CITB and Hire Association Europe. During the pilot the Plant and Tool Hire EN has supported 52 employers and delivered 1339 training days.
The funding for these Networks is coming to an end and the Plant and Tool hire Network has used its funding for training booked through to December. The Plant and Tool Hire Sector Network will close on 20th December. However, CITB are continuing to run Employer Networks with a local focus and now have full GB coverage with 33 local Networks. The Hire Association Europe Training Team is still available to help with specialist training advice and can hand members over to their CITB advisor to support this transition. If you are a CITB-levy registered employer, we would encourage you to join your local Employer Network; there to help you access the training and funding you need, and they ensure CITB is informed of training needs in your local area.
