News Item: HAE Backs New National Policing Team Combatting Theft and Fraud
HAE has been engaged in discussions about joining the donor group of organisations who have pledged financial support to the National Construction and Agricultural Crime Team (NCATT) and the Opal/ACE initiative focused on organised crime.
The association has agreed to help fund the new policing team which depends on private sector support to continue its work.
HAE has supported similar initiatives in the past, previously contributing towards the PANIU policing team.
This fresh commitment is for three years which will give certainty to the team of police officers and analysts, but also provide scope for an ambitious action plan to be agreed and implemented. HAE will represent members in shaping the working relationship with the new policing team.
HAE also remains a member of the Combined Industries Theft Solutions organisation (CITS) and is represented on the CITS Board.
