News Item: HAE Attends the Shaping Health in Construction Event
On 3rd October CEO Paul Gaze and Carl Bartlett, Director of Certification Services attended the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC) at 3M in Bracknell.
CONIAC is supported through the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The theme of the event was Shaping Health in Construction and was focused around major challenges facing the industry, namely managing Dust, Noise and Hand Arm Vibration.
The event was arranged by the Health and Safety Executive, Health in Construction Leadership Group, and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association and held at 3M’s iconic Innovation Centre.
In addition to presentations from HSE, CECA, and HCLG, the event included presentations from major clients such as the Crown Estate, representatives from the Construction Leadership Council and a range of Tier 1 contractors. Attendees also included clients, contractors, specifiers and key members of the supply chain.
The event offered a great opportunity for HAE to highlight the benefits of SafeHire and demonstrate how members of the association are at the forefront of supporting the industry tackling the challenges around dust, noise and hand arm vibration through the investment in new equipment within their fleet.
