News Item: Growing Numbers of Members Achieving SafeHire Certification

The SafeHire Certification Scheme is a continual business improvement programme that both sets and helps maintain the standards of operation for HAE and EHA members.

The standard itself guarantees consistency of approach during assessment and also provides a greater degree of transparency and reassurance to stakeholders, customers, and trading standards.

In 2015 achieving SafeHire certification became a mandatory requirement for all hire companies that are in membership or wish to join HAE EHA. Since then, the Hire Certification Services team has grown with the recruitment of several specialist auditors, and the number of audits carried out annually has increased from around 350 to more than 600.

The ability to organise and complete more audits has enabled more member organisations to achieve SafeHire certification in 2023 than any previous year.

Carl Bartlett, Director of Certification Services said, “SafeHire addresses a multitude of standards including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001 and the SSIP Common Assessment Standard. More importantly, our auditors pay careful attention to product inspection, both process-wise and physically, something that’s unique to SafeHire.

“The association is delighted to recognise the growing number of existing and new members committed to continual business improvement by achieving SafeHire Certification.”

HAE EHA would like to congratulate the following member organisations that were recently awarded SafeHire Certification for the first time:
