News Item: Farizon North East Completes First UK Sale of the New Farizon V7E

Farizon North East has completed the first UK sale of the new Farizon V7E, with Huddersfield-based vehicle hire specialist Shire Link taking delivery of the all-electric van following its launch at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.

Built electric. Made for urban businesses.
The Farizon V7E was unveiled to the UK market at the CV Show in April, where CPD Bodies also announced its appointment as an authorised Farizon dealer for the North East of England, under the name Farizon North East, alongside a strategic partnership to deliver specialist vehicle conversions on the Farizon platform.

Farizon, the new energy commercial vehicle brand of the Geely Group, is distributed in the UK by Jameel Motors. The UK line-up comprises the larger Farizon SV and the new urban-focused V7E. Built on Farizon’s advanced drive-by-wire intelligent platform, the V7E combines class-leading cargo space of up to 6.95m³ with payloads of up to 1,338kg, an all-electric range of up to 204 miles (WLTP combined) and rapid charging from 20 to 80 per cent in as little as 18 minutes.

V7E Delivered
Shire Link, an established family-run van and truck hire business serving commercial and private customers for more than 45 years, selected the V7E after evaluating it alongside similar electric vans, including the Ford E-Transit and Maxus eDeliver 7.

The company identified the Farizon’s combination of range, payload and overall value as the deciding factors behind the purchase.

Matt Magee, Managing Director, Shire Link, commenting on the decision to purchase the Farizon V7E said, “This is our first fully electric van, and we see it as the starting point for expanding our EV offering. Over time, we aim to introduce more fully electric vehicles into the fleet and gradually replace diesel models as the technology and infrastructure continue to develop.”

The vehicle, a white 67kWh V7E, was handed over on 7 July and will immediately enter Shire Link’s hire fleet, where it is expected to cover between 15,000 and 20,000 miles annually across a broad range of commercial applications.

Cathal Doocey, Chairman and Owner of CPD Bodies, added, “To complete the UK’s first V7E sale is fantastic news for both Farizon North East and Farizon itself. The V7E has generated considerable interest since its debut at the CV Show because it answers a genuine market need. Businesses want a compact electric van that doesn’t compromise on payload, load space or usability. This first sale demonstrates that customers are recognising the strengths of the vehicle and the value it can bring to their operations.”

Since announcing its partnership with Farizon in April, Farizon North East has seen growing interest in both the V7E and the larger Farizon SV range, with businesses from across the region requesting demonstrations, exploring fleet electrification and evaluating specialist electric commercial vehicle solutions. Farizon North East will officially celebrate the opening of its new Stockton-on-Tees dealership on 2 and 3 September, showcasing the complete Farizon range.
