HAE EHA is currently looking for an experienced candidate to join the Senior Leadership Team in the new role of Commercial Director.

HAE was formed in 1974 and often referred to as The Association by its members. HAE is a Birmingham-based industry-leading trade body representing plant, tool, event equipment hire and key suppliers with a membership of 700 based in the UK, Europe and across other parts of the world.

Working from our Head Office the successful candidate will lead the Membership Services Team. They will be responsible for promoting the work of the association, increasing membership through developing, planning and implementing strategies that promote growth aligned with organisational goals to maximise revenue income. The post holder will also be responsible for showcasing the sector as a career of choice.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

A comprehensive understanding of the tool and plant hire sector (min 10 years’ experience) and roles therein

Comprehensive experience of the differences working in a not-for-profit organisation

Previous experience of operating at board level – evidence to support

Previous experience of working groups and collaboration with other membership organisations

A deep understanding of business operations, finances, sales and marketing tactics and market conditions – Hire industry experience preferable

Marketing experience working with external agencies / websites / LinkedIn

Comprehensive understanding of all business accounting functions

Comprehensive experience of managing a business, working with external stakeholders, and the delivery of a wide a range of business services

Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing; strategies, business and action plans with a range of stakeholders

Experience of cost centre management and budgeting to deliver services, making a rate of return and liaising with customers to successfully secure monies owed to an organisation

Awareness of the careers and skills agenda and ability to lead campaigns and initiatives in this area.
