vGroup International has expanded its business partnership with fast-growing vehicle funding and fleet management specialist Fleet Alliance to include the supply of commercial vehicle accessories.
vGroup, the UK’s leading provider of motor accessory essentials, already supplies more than 2,200 roadside assistance packs and first aid kits a year to Fleet Alliance for inclusion in new company cars and light commercial vehicles delivered to customers.
Now, Fleet Alliance, which manages more than 25,000 vehicles, has extended that nine-year relationship by contracting vGroup International’s vComms division, the UK’s market-leading provider for commercial vehicle accessories, to provide equipment ranging from lining panels to tow bars and racking systems to roof vents and lighting and electrical features.
Fleet Alliance will benefit from vComms’ nationwide mobile accessory fitment service, a national menu of fixed prices as well as a comprehensive range of accessories for online ordering on behalf of customers that also includes dead locks, door slam locks, rear window security grills and blanks, armaplates, dashboard cameras and livery requirements.
Furthermore, Fleet Alliance’s decision to expand its vGroup International relationship comes after the latter early this year launched its breakthrough polypropylene commercial vehicle lining panel - Finesse Poly-line.
The new solution offers numerous benefits over traditional plywood lining led by its weight-saving and payload-increasing characteristics. But other advantages include: it being extremely rigid and durable, offering strong impact and humidity resistance, plus, it’s also 100% recyclable, washable and resistant to acid and oils. In addition, it’s also easy to handle and fit - avoiding splinters for installers - and it can be CNC (computer numerical control) machined.
Fleet Alliance cemented its position as one of the UK’s fastest growing vehicle funding and fleet management companies by recently acquiring a controlling interest in East Sussex-based Neva Consultants placing the enlarged group 14th in a national league table of leading contract hire and leasing companies by fleet size.
Martin Brown, managing director, Fleet Alliance, said: “vGroup continues to be an essential part of our supplier network, helping maintain our high standards of customer service by providing seamless delivery of high quality handover and support packs to our dealer network. When considering a supplier to extend our provision for commercial vehicle accessories and fitting, vGroup was the logical choice.”
Vicky Arnold, vGroup International’s sales and customer service director, said: “The extended partnership agreement with Fleet Alliance builds on vGroup’s status as the largest mobile fit supplier for commercial accessories to the UK’s major vehicle funding and fleet management companies. We are pleased to extend our relationship with Fleet Alliance, a company that looks after 25,000 vehicles and delighted that our services will help achieve its goals.”
For the last 25 years vGroup International has been the trusted one-stop shop advisor to the fleet sector and motor manufacturers and Ms Arnold added: “We are focused on meeting the requirements of fleets to enable them to operate efficiently and effectively, achieve their compliance and duty of care responsibilities and, by providing industry-leading vehicle lining solutions, ensure vehicle residual values are protected.”
