STIHL will be highlighting its ‘world first’ TSA 230 9”cordless cut-off saw at this year’s Exec Hire Show, winner of the Innovation Trail award at last year’s show. In addition the world’s No.1 selling petrol chainsaw brand will be showing its renowned petrol powered cut-off saw range including the advanced fuel injection TS 480i cut-off saw plus the 16" TS 800.

STIHL invites all press to come and see the team at the STIHL show stand (Stand C80) to see a myriad of industry-leading machines ideal for the Exec Hire Show’s construction, building and DIY visitors.

Transforming the cut-off saw market, the STIHL TSA 230 was heralded as the world’s first cordless
230 mm cut-off saw when it came into the market, with a quality EC motor and STIHL’s advanced 36 volt Lithium-Ion Pro battery technology. Applicable for wet and dry-cutting of roofing tiles, bricks, metal and paving blocks both in and outdoors; its emission-free performance has opened a whole host of options for interior and exterior construction, roofing, renovations and landscaping.

The saw’s compact design, low weight at just 3.9kg (without the battery) and familiar controls ensure effortless handling and easy use. Dust suppression is a standard feature and as well as being used for dry cutting, the TSA 230 also has a standard water connection with quick-release coupling, enabling it to be converted for wet cutting in next to no time. What’s more, magnets in the machine casing also attract metal filings away from the motor and battery compartments. With a cutting depth of up to 70 mm, the TSA 230 is ideal for cutting roofing tiles, bricks, metal and paving blocks.

Teamed with the recommended STIHL AP 300 battery and AL 500 charger, users will experience the cut-off saw’s high cutting performance from a single battery charge – sufficient to cut up to 48 clay tiles (with the diamond cutting wheel). The battery is re-charged in just 35 minutes using the STIHL AL 500 charger – just enough time to clear the area or take a break.

What makes the TSA 230 a truly cost-effective machine is its interchangeable battery and charger that are compatible with STIHL’s Cordless System, so they can also power anything from a chainsaw to a professional brushcutter.

Visitors to the STIHL exhibit will also see other key machines from STIHL’s robust cut-off saw range including the innovative TS 480i.

The STIHL TS 480i petrol cut-off saw boasts STIHL’s injection system, which is based on characteristic mapping, so the engine data is collected and analysed electronically for every revolution.

This intelligent control system knows the exact operation status of the machine and can set the ideal ignition and fuel injection values in milliseconds. The result is optimum acceleration, maximum performance, simple starting and reduced fuel consumption.

The user can also activate the electronic water control system simply by pressing a button as the engine continues to run. The water volume is then regulated by pressing the plus/minus buttons, with the water automatically switching off when the engine is idling, saving water. What’s more, the memory function ensures that after the engine is restarted, the same amount of water is automatically supplied as previously set. Users can restart work immediately without having to adjust the settings, even after long breaks. The result is dust suppression at the push of a button.

Visit the STIHL stand at this year’s Exec Hire Show 2016 to talk to STIHL’s friendly staff about these tools and their features that highlight innovation in both technology and safety.
