Dundalk based company Dromad Hire recently invested in a specialised purpose built truck from local Scania dealer Granco Ltd.
The new truck which was designed and built especially/specifically for the company will improve the nationwide distribution of plant and powered access equipment.
The recent purchase is part of Dromad’s on-going investment plan throughout 2016.
Granco trucks based in Newry provided Dromad with the Scania unit and chassis, they also handled the whole process from start to finish working very closely with Sterling bodies in the UK.
According to Dromad Hire's managing director Seamus Byrne "The new lorry is simply being added to help improve our delivery speed and service to our customers. It has been built to the exact spec that we require to transport such a diverse range of plant and equipment, both safely and economically. The body was built and designed by UK based company Sterling GP and they didn’t fail to exceed our expectations, their service and backup was second to none”.
“As for Granco Ltd they already handle all our vehicle servicing needs, their customer focus, service and backup is probably the best in the country, and that is simply why we choose Scania
The body is equipped with many of the latest innovations from Sterling including the Gridlock composite decking system that has a high grip self-cleaning surface and a fully galvanised finish on the entire body ensuring a corrosion free life and lower maintenance costs.
Grant Owen, of Sterling Bodies states “We are delighted to be working with a high profile Irish company such as Dromad, and providing them with a tailored solution for their transport requirements”
According to Pat Grant, of Granco Ltd “It is always a pleasure working with a professional company such as Dromad, everything they do they do it right. We look forward to being of continued service to Dromad for many years to come”
