It is with deep sadness that we announce a long-term supporter of Hire Association Europe and our very dear friend, Jack Haymer, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 7th February 2017 aged 80, following a brave battle with a highly aggressive form of Leukaemia.
Jack played an integral role in the launch of SafeHire Certification and was the first ever SafeHire Assessor, working for HAE between 2008 and 2013. The photo captures Diane Wood, National Specialist Accreditation Centre, CITB, Peter Varney, Total Hire & Sales and the late Jack Haymer. Many of our members and colleagues remember Jack with great fondness and have taken to Facebook to express their condolences and to share their memories.
Commenting on the sad loss, HAE managing director said: “Jack had infinite knowledge of the hire industry and his enthusiastic approach to helping us achieve high standards enabled Jack to quickly establish himself as a trusted and much respected figure within the association and industry as a whole. He will be missed by all at HAE and particularly myself, Gill Bridger and Melanie Kilkenny, having built a close relationship with him over the years.”
Jack’s funeral will be held on Friday 17th February at Halifax Minster Church at 2:15pm followed by a private committal and celebrations of his life at the Shay Stadium.
Everyone at HAE extends their deepest sympathy and their thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends. He will be very sadly missed.
