PRESS RELEASE: HAE SHOWCASES BRAND-NEW VIRTUAL REALITY SOFTWARE

Hire Association Europe (HAE) is delighted to be showcasing the latest in virtual reality training software on stand C60 at the Executive Hire Show, Ricoh Arena, Coventry from 7th – 8th February 2018.

The software, which has been developed in conjunction with the University of the West of England (UWE), enables users to experience top-level virtual training across a wide range of tools and machinery. On the stand, show visitors will be able to see for themselves the outstanding capabilities of this progressive training equipment, which it is hoped will be adopted by many forward-thinking hire firms.

Meanwhile, in the Jaguar Lounge on Wednesday 7th February colleagues from HAE and UWE will be delivering live V-Hire presentations between 11am and 2pm. These demonstrations will show how the software can be used effectively to deliver training on: Breakers, Working at Height (Alloy Towers), Diamond Drills, Cut off Saw, Reciprocating Saw, Angle Grinders, Diggers and MEWPs, Dust, Hand Arm Vibration, Noise, LPG and Electrical Safety and, soon to be released, Plate Compactors.

Back on stand C60, HAE will also be highlighting the additional benefits that hire companies can reap from having SafeHire Certification. SafeHire is a highly acclaimed industry standard which comprises an independent audit to help raise standards in health and safety and customer service procedures across the hire sector. Both members and non-members are encouraged to speak to the team and join up to become SafeHire Certified in order to profit from the market place advantages the certification brings.

HAE’s managing director Graham Arundell commented: “Our members have found that being SafeHire certified has given customers the confidence to hire their equipment as they know it has been tested to rigorous safety standards and that full training and support with its use will be provided. Not only does it help give firms a competitive edge over those hirers without such an endorsement, but it gives those hiring the equipment significant peace of mind.”

The show also sees the exciting launch of HAE’s new ‘Hire Industry Trusted Supplier’ scheme (HITS). This brand-new scheme, designed to be on a par with SafeHire Certification, provide suppliers with a standard of their own to work towards. Many key suppliers already committed to the scheme include Morris Site Machinery, Marcrist, JCB and InspHire, however, HAE are hoping that many other hire firms will come forward to speak to them during the show to learn more about the scheme and to sign up to become a Trusted Supplier.

Many hire companies are now proactively investing in health and safety training and reviewing their policies and processes in order to avoid accidents or even potential criminal proceedings against them. Being part of an organisation such as HAE is an invaluable way of having access to direct support and training across many key areas of the hire business.
