PRESS RELEASE: GAP Retains Silver FORS Accreditation

GAP Hire Solutions has successfully retained its FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) Silver accreditation.

FORS encompasses all aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental protection by encouraging and training fleet operators to measure, monitor and improve performance. With over 4,600 members, FORS is gaining recognition as the transport industry’s go-to accreditation scheme.

To meet the FORS Standard, GAP is required to ensure all drivers and line managers undergo approved progressive training and continued professional development, with particular attention paid to the safety of vulnerable road users. Through a programme of internal and external audits, GAP is able to demonstrate adherence to their processes and procedures as well as meeting current legislative requirements.

GAP’s Group Transport Manager David Rodger said: “We are delighted to retain the FORS Silver accreditation which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to adopting best practice and improving the safety of our drivers, staff and members of the public. Retaining FORS Silver status is paramount for our company as the certification is required by many of our customers working on major contracts in London and throughout the UK. We have a real competitive advantage in maintaining this prestigious status.”

GAP’s extensive range of vehicle fleet delivers and collects a wide range of hired equipment including unmanned plant from their 140 locations across the UK in addition to providing tanker services for their Welfare Division customers.
