PRESS RELEASE: Call for HAE Members to Stand for Election in July's AGM

Board Member Elections for all the HAE EHA boards, are taking place in July. As your company is a member, you may be able to stand for election to become a board member of your industry board.

You could help direct the Association for the benefit of members, including working on:

- Increasing member engagement

- Developing Training

- Assisting Recruitment

- Expansion of Services and Benefits

- Sector Development

- Improving Industry Standards

Board members may also be asked to attend other committee or working group meetings.

The 2014 Articles of Association allow member companies to put an 'authorised representative' forward as a candidate for a position on the relevant industry board. The candidate will become a Non-Executive Board Member for their industry.

HAE EHA members will be able to vote to select the candidates from their industry sector of the Association at the Annual General Meeting, on  25th July 2019 commencing at 11:30am. Postal votes and proxy votes will also be counted. The AGM will be held at the HAE EHA office, 2450 Regents Court, The Crescent, Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, West Midlands, B37 7YE.

All Board Members have a duty to attend meetings, act in the best interest of the association, give strategic direction to the Industry sector. In addition to board meetings, the role will include scrutiny of written papers, and can involve contributing to project working groups.

Timetable 2019

29th April until 21st June 2019 - candidates register their interest in becoming a board member

28th June 2019 - list of candidates published online and voting begins

24th July 2019 - email voting closes

25th July 2019 - Annual General Meeting

Industry Board Meetings are also scheduled for September and October 2019, late January, April, July and October 2020.
