PRESS RELEASE: Apprentice of the Year Finalists revealed for National Apprenticeship Week
Excitement is building ahead of the prestigious 2018 Hire Awards of Excellence with the announcement by the Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) of the candidates short-listed for the Apprentice of the Year.
To coincide with National Apprenticeship Week (NAW2018), the three finalists named for this much sought-after accolade are Bonnie Stanton, Hire Negotiator of CW Plant Hire, Charlotte Spencer, Support Services at AFI and Tyler Lloyd, Plant Maintenance Apprentice, who is employed by A-Plant.
The winner will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Saturday April 28 2018, where the great and good from the UK’s plant, tool, equipment and event hire industries will gather to discover which companies and other individuals have scooped awards in an evening of celebration.
Commenting on the apprentices in the running for Apprentice of the Year, HAE EHA’s managing director, Graham Arundell, said: “This is a hotly-contested category which celebrates the success of apprenticeships within our industry. We are delighted with the calibre and diversity of the three contestants with their eye on the prize – it will be a very difficult job for the judges to pick a winner.”
Whoever the successful apprentice is on the night will also be in the frame to become Hire Achiever of the Year, where they will face competition from the winners of the Workshop Manager of the Year and Hire Manager of the Year categories.
It’s not too late to book your place or table at the event in London and there are still some sponsorship packages remaining, but these are expected to be snapped up so to avoid disappointment and purchase tickets please visit www.hae.org.uk/awards.
