News Item: Way to Work An Introduction for Employers

Set up in January 2022, the government's 'Way to Work' campaign is a national drive to help raise awareness of the record number of job opportunities available across the country and get people into work.

To accelerate the process of connecting people with jobs, individuals will spend more time with their work coaches preparing them for a new start. More information on the campaign for individuals can be found here. 

Aswell as targeting individuals claiming Universal Credit, ‘Way to Work’ is also aimed at employers who have a vacancy to fill, offering them help from a local Jobcentre who will work closely with employers to match people to job roles. 

The campaign aims to have these claimants in employment within four weeks rather than the current DWP benchmark of three months. ‘Way to Work’ will also help with the vital recovery for the UK from Covid-19.
