For the second consecutive year, Sunbelt Rentals UK and Ireland is proud to announce its bronze accreditation from the 5% Club's 2023-2024 Employer Audit Scheme, highlighting its commitment to their people and sustainability. This unique scheme assesses employers' activities, evaluates their future plans and commitments, and examines their approaches to quality, social mobility, diversity, and inclusion.
By joining the 5% Club, they demonstrate their ongoing commitment through their sustainability strategy, our planet, by investing in their people by providing workplace training to everyone through apprenticeships, mentoring and skills training.
One of the key initiatives of Sunbelt Rentals' commitment to training is their industry-recognised apprenticeship programme. This programme - which has been in operation for over 10 years - plays a critical role in the company's investment in the next generation and highlighting the career opportunities available in the industry. Over the last two years, they have provided apprenticeships to 200 people, with further developments planned for their upcoming programme to broaden the opportunities.
Jenny Parry, Head of Talent, at Sunbelt Rentals commented on the membership, "We're delighted to celebrate our bronze membership with the 5% club for the second year running. Initiatives such as our apprenticeship programme and mentoring schemes are just two ways that we invest in our people, and this aligns with our business goal to own the future of rental and purpose to transform lives."
Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club said, "Our Employer Audit scheme recognises the efforts of all those Employers who invest in their workforce through a broad range of workplace learning schemes. It is fantastic that in these challenging times so many are able to commit to the Employer Audit and to gain the credit for their efforts, and that the majority are striving to expand their schemes over the coming years. Their efforts and achievements are to be applauded."
Gill Cronin, Director of Operations at The 5% Club added: "Having seen The Club grow to more than 900 members, I am always impressed at the commitment, drive and energy our members channel into offering "earn and learn" skills opportunities. To now see 20 percent of these members gain Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum accredited membership of The Club is inspiring and demonstrates how these companies are all contributing to the future of skills in our economy."
