News Item: ONS Report Outlines Price Movements in Plant Hire Since 2019

The Office for National Statistics has released an article which examines the price movements that have occurred in equipment hire and construction materials between 2019 and 2021, and analyses the causes behind them. 

The article reports that global supply chain disruptions are impacting on the availability and price of construction inputs. Producer Price Inflation inputs into construction continue to push output prices, with the increased output pushing demand, thereby increasing prices.
