News Item: Hire Industry Employment Boost for Young People

Young people, students and schools are under pressure to get back up to speed with education, work experience and training and in support of National Apprenticeship Week HAE EHA is asking the hire industry to consider giving a hand with early career opportunities through either a Kickstart or Apprenticeship scheme.

The Kickstart Scheme offers employment for six months for a minimum of 25 hours per week for young people aged 16-24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment. HAE EHA is one of the Government's official Kickstart Employer Representatives, responsible for providing high-quality hire industry work placements. The government backed scheme ends on 31st December 2021 which means all placements need to be filled before 1st June. If you are interested in the scheme we need to hear from you before 31st March.

Apprenticeship Schemes are for 12 months or longer and provide training, work experience and tutor support in the workplace. For employers, they improve productivity, staff morale and in many cases customer satisfaction. HAE EHA has numerous apprenticeships available across the UK advertised on the Careers in Hire area of the website, found using HAE EHA’s job search tool, click the link and search ‘apprenticeships’.
