News Item: HAE EHA Launch Women in Hire Mentoring Scheme

HAE EHA has launched the Women in Hire Mentoring project and is actively seeking mentees (individuals looking to be advised or trained by someone with more experience) to pair with mentors (individuals offering advice and guidance to someone with less experience).

This new initiative will provide a coordinated support structure to support the recruitment, retention and development of women in the hire industry.

The aims of the mentoring project are:

  • To attract new female entrants into the hire industry
To offer the HAE EHA membership a structured support network to encourage a greater take up in recruiting women into the hire industry and to access the resources that HAE EHA will make available to them

  • To develop the female talent pool currently within the hire industry
A programme that will allow women already in the hire industry to access the skill sets of more established and experienced employees

HAE EHA has already identified a team of mentors representing a diverse selection of skill sets across many business disciplines in the hire sector, and the launch now actively seeks mentees.

The role of HAE EHA will be to pair mentees with mentors (ensuring mentee needs are suitably matched with the skill sets of the mentor), with additional oversight on progress and providing support as required.

If you have a female employee or new starter that you know will benefit from access to an experienced mentor or alternatively, are looking for assistance with your own career development, please register your interest as a potential mentee to simon.rainer@hae.org.uk.
