News Item: HAE EHA Achievement of Assessment Centre Accreditation
Building on its impressive training offerings to the Hire sector HAE EHA is now able to complement its range of training by offering full assessment of National Vocational Qualifications(NVQs). This significant achievement will benefit members and, indeed, the sector at large by providing access to cost effective vocational qualification assessments speeding up the process of improving industry skills.
Following the culmination of several months planning and development HAE EHA is delighted that on the 25th October our Assessment Centre was approved by Cskills NOCN. Our new centre, which is regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations (Ofqaul), will allow HAE EHA to award National Vocational Qualifications on behalf of the industry. As the only Hire Sector Assessment Centre we will focus initially on hire and rental operations but will also be able to offer a wider range of qualifications to deliver the skills required across the many roles within the hire industry.
Speaking after the successful External Quality Assurance Inspection, Rupert Douglas-Jones HAE EHA General Manager said,'This is a big step forward for the industry and represents a major milestone on the Association’s journey to assist members to recruit, retain and improve the skills the industry is desperate to acquire and we are delighted to have achieved recognised centre status. In recent months we have been talking to members about the benefits that this approved centre will bring to them and the industry as a whole. Further details of the benefits and how to take advantage of the centre will be circulated shortly to our members.’
Nikki Wyllie Centre Coordinator said, 'It is fantastic that we now have the facilities to formally recognise the skills and competency of the workforce through the awarding of National Vocational Qualifications. This is a major part of our career path for the industry.’
