News Item: DfE Encourages Workers to Learn and Develop with The Skills Toolkit

The UK Department for Education (DfE) has developed The Skills Toolkit aimed at anyone wanting to improve their skills. It's an online platform giving access to free, high-quality digital, numeracy and employability courses to help people build up their skills, progress in work and boost job prospects.

The Government was supported by some of the country's leading educational experts and employers to make up this collection of high quality resources to suit a range interests and skill levels. All courses are flexible and online, ranging from a few weeks to hours, so learners can top up their skills at a time and place that suits them.

HAE EHA would urge its members to share this with their employees, and help achieve a better working future for everyone in hire.

The DfE has also provided a useful document, loaded with information and links to further reading, to help employers communicate the Skills Toolkit to their workers. You can download it here.
