News Item: Buffaload Light Up with Trime

Buffaload Logistics, the Cambridgeshire based independent high-volume temperature controlled operator, has invested in several lighting towers manufactured by the leading industrial lighting supplier, Trime UK.

The Buffaload Ellington site is deep in the Cambridgeshire countryside, with no street lights and next to the busy A14 trunk road. The company operates twenty-four hours, seven days a week, so their personnel are often leaving and arriving in darkness, particularly in the winter months. They identified a vital need for additional lighting in the car park to keep their staff safe.

Buffaload carried out an extensive internet search to seek out the best lighting sets that would suit their requirements. Their investigations led them to Trime UK and their X-MAST and X-CHAIN lighting towers.

The X-MAST delivers 5000 square metres of lighting via four thirty-two watt LED lamps connected to a nine-metre mast. Power is from ordinary mains electricity, which means that the X-MAST produces zero noise and zero emissions. The X-CHAIN has similar attributes to the X-MAST, delivering over 2000 square metres of safe, bright lighting. Additionally, up to four X-CHAIN LED sets can be connected together using the simple 'socket-in/socket-out' system and then attached to a single power source - either ordinary mains or a portable generator.

After carefully evaluating many different lighting systems, Buffaload eventually chose Trime for two reasons. Firstly, they are based close to the Buffaload site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Buffaload have a policy to do business locally wherever they can, this helps to keep delivery miles low which acts as part of their low carbon ethos. They also like to build relationships with the local business community. Secondly, Buffaload were delighted to discover that Trime UK was also competitively priced.

Commenting on this purchase, Liam Gilbert, Buffaload General Manager said, "Trime UK provided a really good service, they couldn't have been more helpful. The arrival of extra lights was welcomed by everyone."

Buffaload Logistics are a fully integrated chilled transport and storage provider. They were formed in 1995 and remain a family owned and run business. They have an excess of 100 years' experience in their sector.

The Trime Group are considered to be the market leader in the development and marketing of environmentally slanted lighting towers. Trime UK is headquartered in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Their manufacturing plant is based near Milan, Italy.
