Behind The Scenes In Working To Protect And Support Members

Meet the HAE Technical, Health and Safety Panel!  A group of committed people who meet regularly to address industry best practice, upcoming legislation that will affect industry operations, new products being introduced for the industry, accident awareness and the approval of all the SafeHire Technical Bulletins produced to protect HAE members and their customers!

The Panel meets quarterly and is made up of hire operating members, suppliers and manufacturers, related trade bodies and representation from HSE.  Our June meeting was held at the brand new Bristol Business School based within the University of the West of England (UWE) – the home of the HAE and UWE Bristol partnership in developing the ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification for the hire industry and HAE’s innovative VR training programmes.

Part of the partnership enables HAE EHA to use the facilities of the new Bristol Business School.  The Panel and the HireTrain Committee appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality provided when we met in June.

The photograph was taken with our hosts from UWE:-  Dr Noordin Shehabuddeen – Director, Bristol Business Engagement Centre and Lynda Williams – Associate Director (BBEC), Faculty of Business and Law.

The Technical, H&S panel is made up from a wide range of members, and includes:  Alide Hire, County Hire, CW Plant, Martin Plant Hire, STS Access, major Hire Groups and Manufacturers/Suppliers. A full list of the panel is available on the HAE website www.hae.org.uk   If you are interested in getting involved contact Gill Bridger on 0121 380 4619,  gill.bridger@hae.org.uk
