Free Half-Day Safer Recruitment Workshop
Taking place at 12pm on Tuesday 21st January 2020, at the HAE EHA Offices, Solihull, B37 7YE. The session focusses on employing ex-offenders, myth-busting misconceptions, offers skills and advice. The workshop also includes a networking lunch.
We are facing a relatively low unemployment rate, and a tightening labour market, with many employers in the hire industry struggling to find people with the right talent, skills, abilities and mindset to fill vacancies.
The Mind the Gap (MTG) Project is a three-year initiative commissioned by CITB, and a consortium of partners, led by Lendlease. The aim is to reduce skills gaps by providing employers operating in the hire arena with the knowledge, skills, training and support they need to recruit: serving prisoners, offenders on licence and other people with criminal records who are motivated to work.
Dominic Headley, one of the Mind the Gap partners and recruitment expert, will be delivering a free half-day Safer Recruitment training session hosted by Hire Association Europe (HAE), for HR professionals and others responsible for recruitment and retention decisions. This will equip delegates with the knowledge and practical resources needed to confidently recruit ex-offenders, ensure their processes comply with recent changes to legislation and manage and mitigate any potential risks involved.
