Mental Health Awareness Week Day 5 - GIVE

Studies have shown that individuals who have greater interest in helping others are more likely to rate themselves as happy. An act of kindness each day for six weeks significantly increases an individual's mental wellbeing. The key to giving is to look outwards, as well as inwards. Seeing yourself, and your feelings, as well as those around.

Giving can be small gestures, as well as big ones. Here are some ideas: 

  • Do something nice for a friend or a stranger
  • Smile
  • Volunteer your time
  • Give to a charity (if you can)
