About HAE

Hire Association Europe formed as a trade association in 1974 and now represents over 1000 member companies, operating over 3000 hire and rental outlets.
 
Hire Association Europe is the combination of two leading trade associations; HAE and EHA, which encompass hire and rental companies in the UK, Ireland and Europe. The Association is unique in that it brings together the diverse sectors involved in hire: HAE with membership from tool and equipment and plant; and EHA with membership from audio visual, catering, inflatable, marquee and portable sanitation hire sectors.

HAE and EHA offer support to member companies to assist in improving industry standards to supporting campaigns to increase the awareness of the benefits of hire and rental to the end user.  Both associations act in partnership with Government agencies both in the UK and Europe and serve the hire and rental industry through lobbying on behalf of its membership.  HAE and EHA play a strategic role in support of the promotion and protection of the hire and rental industry.

Both HAE and EHA are held up as Model Trade Associations by the Government. They are non-profit making organisations, limited by guarantee.
