HAE Receives a Warm Welcome at Super Six Health & Safety Event
HAE welcomed the opportunity to attend the Working Well Together event held in Dorchester recently. With over 90 delegates from the construction industry, attending to learn more about the Super Six Health & Safety Topics for Construction, HAE was able to showcase its Codes of Practice on Managing and Controlling Noise Exposure and Managing Exposure to Construction Dust along with promoting HAE's Future Hirers initiative to delegates and to Kingston Maurward College who hosted the event.
HAE was pleased to receive an invite from the college to attend one of their career days to talk about the hire industry and the many career opportunities available to college leavers.
Most importantly, today gave HAE a real opportunity to talk to construction companies and contractors about the SafeHire Certification Scheme and why they should be looking for the SafeHire orange logo when hiring tools, plant and equipment for their projects. Many delegates were also interested in the training courses being developed by HAE via VR Technology.
Working Well Together (WWT) was set up in 1998 by the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC) which recognised the construction industry itself needed to do more to improve its health and safety performance - particularly among the smaller construction businesses. WWT is a joint industry / HSE initiative with a motto: 'help from the industry for the industry' and as a key player in construction's supply chain, HAE was proud to be representing the hire and rental sector.
