The Event Hire Association (EHA) was delighted to be headline sponsor for the 2016 outing of the Festival Supplier Awards. The association offers a hosts of products and services that meet the needs of hirers and suppliers in the festival and outdoor events marketplace making the Festival Supplier Awards the perfect platform to gain further exposure for the association.
The Awards took place at The Hurlingham Club, a stunning venue located in West London on January 28th with almost 350 guests from the festival and outdoor event industry celebrating their successes at the glittering occasion. As headline sponsor, the awards gave the EHA the ideal opportunity to leave a strong impression of their brand to some of the most senior decision makers within the event industry.
Their event based initiatives include the launch of the EHA’s new Code of Practice for Portable Sanitation for the events sector; the EHA SafeHire Certification Scheme, a new print on demand licence for their members, Future Hirers initiative and EHA training schemes for LPG use, insurance and IOSH courses. Having their brand associated with the FSAs undoubtedly raised awareness of the association and the services that they offer.
Awards were presented for a host of industry essentials including staging, crowd management, temporary structures, crew catering, toilets and sound. EHA members who were amongst the finalists were the Gap Group for Best Crowd Pit Barrier and Best Fencing/Hoardings; Morris Site Machinery for the Green Supplier Award and Eve Trakway for the Best Crowd/Pit Barrier award. With Gap Group picking up the prize for Best Fencing/ Hoardings for their work at the Rugby World Cup.
Winners were decided by an impressive panel of judges, all experts within the sector, at the top of their game. They included: Dave McCalmont from MAMA Group; Jon Drape from Ground Control; Zac Fox from Kilimanjaro Live; Andy Grove, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and LAEOG; Beckie Parsons, Judge Day; Chris Johnson, Shambala Festival and Powerful Thinking; Frankie Tee, EnTEEtainment Ltd; John Probyn, Sports Show; Jonathan Smith, Farnborough International Airshow; Lynsey Wollaston, IMG Arts & Entertainment and Mike Richmond from Richmond Event Management.
The EHA’s sponsorship package included a high profile on and off-line marketing campaign in conjunction with the promotion of the awards and sponsorship of three categories: Best Power, won by Power Logistics; Best Stage, won by Star Events and Best Temporary Structure won by Ascot Structures.
